Rotate a person's portrait photo in Family Tree if it is sideways or up-side-down.
In Family Tree, you could find that a person's portrait on the Person Page is oriented incorrectly. The photo could be sideways or upside down. You can rotate it.
Steps (website)
- In Family Tree on the FamilySearch.org website, display the person page.
- Click the portrait.
- On the photos tab, click the picture you want to use as the portrait. The photo that was previously selected is usually to the right of the No Portrait option.
- On the edit menu, click the rotate icon until the portrait is in the right orientation.
- Click Save.
Steps (mobile app)
The Family Tree mobile app does not allow you to rotate a portrait. Please use the website instead.
